Payment methods

Receive payments from your customers on your website or application. We support these payment methods:

Visa Card payments, provided by Standard Bank card

For a mobile wallet payment you send the phone number of the customer as subscriber, and the operator (TNM Mpamba or Airtel Money) is picked from the number. All amounts are in Malawian Kwacha (MWK).

How it works

  1. Receive payment: start the payment with a unique reference and the ipn address of your server.
  2. The customer approves the payment on their phone (wallet) or pays with their card (Visa).
  3. We call your ipn address with the result.
  4. At any time, check the status of a payment. If you missed the notification, ask us to send it again.

Calls

Receive payment Start a payment from a customer. It supports mobile wallet payments and Visa card payments.
Receive status Get the status of a payment with its reference.
Update status Ask us to refresh the status of a payment. The result is sent to the ipn address you gave when you started the payment. It is useful when you missed the first notification.
Payment callback (IPN) After a payment, we send the payment notification to the ipn address you gave. Your server does not need to reply with anything.
